First of all, thanks to The Red, Rick K, F-12Tom, and anyone else who replied to my request for help. After using a stiff putty knife to destroy the head gasket and another tool of my own design to clean around the studs between the head and the block I was still not able to move the head. I started using Liquid Wrench on the studs and after a few days was able to tighten down the head retaining nuts and move the head down the 1/8 of an inch that used to be the head gasket. I pryed it back up, used some more Liquid Wrench, and then drew it down again. I continued this routine, in the evenings, for about a week and each time I gained a little more. It finally came off. I discovered the problem was rust between the studs and the head. Patience is the word for a project like this. Again, thanks!!!!!!!!!
