Don't know how long you've had your Super A but from what I've heard and what I've learned with mine ('53 with a Zenith carb.) they tend to flood pretty easily. In the time I've owned mine I've only started it once in the cold (and that was when I bought it, and ended up towing it behind a team of horses to get it to start) but over the summer I never really used the choke and had no problems. Also when you leave it sitting you might want to shut of the fuel valve because I've found the gas sometimes leaks past the needle and gets into the engine. Hope this helps. SAm in NS
