To: DRGreen and Chris. I wired the batteries like DRGreen just described. I don't know if you are aware of it but both Deere and CaseIH make exactly the right size 12 volt battery for your 756. It is only my speculation but I think a 12 volt battery can dissipate or unload it's current (power) at a much higher rate than a 6 volt battery resulting in higher starter RPM. The 6 volt may have as much total power but it doesn't get to the starter fast enough. Just my thoughts.
