Never hook anything above the axle. That is a sure way to flip the tractor. On the subject of scary stories, I have this one, told to me by my 75 year old neighbor. In the 40's his uncle was in "town" getting some supplies. He ran into an old friend at the town square that was the local mortician/funeral director. The mortician had just completed building a new funeral parlor and invited his old friend to come see it to which my neighbors uncle replied "that is the last place I want to go". Well, my neighbors uncle went home and went to work plowing. Something happened to the drawbar on his tractor so he was just gonna hook the plow above the axle, drag it home and work on it. Somehow along the way, the plow caught in the ground and puled the tractor over backward, killing him instantly. Later that day, he was in the last place he wanted to go.
