I am having a similar problem with a 504. There is a bearing just below the steering wheel with rubber seals above and below it, but if the bearing is shot-you are going to have oil leakage just below the steering wheel. The solution in my situation is to replace the bearing. Easier said than done because I have not been able to find a bearing. Case-Int. says it is nla. Bearing specialty shops in NYS and Ontario say they can't find a corresponding bearing with the same id's and od's. I have been trying the internet, but so far have had no positive results. If you find a source for these bearings give me and address. If I find anything I will forward info to you. Thanks for any and all help.
