Dave I took the cap to a NAPA machine shop. He face ground out the gear marks on a huge belt sander which they use to true up heads. Cost me $7.50. On the gasket, you need to order it from IH because it is super thin. You don't want anything thicker because you will lose oil pressure. If you need a gasket source, Ken Updike at 608-455-2411.
