Hmm, I guess I don't really know for sure that the hyd control valve won't interchange, now that you mention it. I know for sure, though, that the sector shafts and their associated seals and bearings are completely different, and there is a different way of adjusting the backlash in the gears. I would guess that if the bearings that support the worm are the same size, the control valve might fit. It might be worth a try. But yes, if you have the whole unit, it will bolt right up. I found out that my 300U has a 460U steering box. You might need to fab a new stabilizer bracket, that goes from the steering gearbox to the clutch housing. Mine has a homemade stabilizer bracket made from a piece of heavy steel t-section.
