John, you want to use a product called "Never Dull Wading". It comes in a small, round tin can. Pull a little bit out, and polish the mag with it. This stuff is fantastic for mags. I used it on part of my mag that I had off, and you should see how it looks! Never Dull works great on chrome and other bright metal too. It will remove lite rust from the surface. Phlogiston.
