Which screen on the inlet did you clean? If you are talking about the inlet to the carburetor, check it again. Keep cleaning it until the fuel tank is not sending any more trash. If the screen is in good shape, the size of dirt that will pass through should not hurt the carburetor. The sediment bowl screen should also be cleaned, and the sediment bowl cleaned out. It won't trap everything but will catch a lot. The only real way to clean a carburetor is by full disassembly and chemical cleaning. If you just have a dirty tank, though, you can eventuall clean it up. You can also run some automobile products to clean the carburetor "as you drive" but they only will help you if the carburetor is pretty clean to start with. Once you get the fuel system clean use Sta-Bil in the fuel. It really works. And run the tractor often.
