I have a diffrent way than most on the site though both way work, just to let you geting stuck in five. this gear seems wear out the most. anyway what you do is you go get the 5/8 and take off the pully houseing may need a hand with that it neens to come strait up the out to the right side of the tractor, then run and get a vice grips. now that the pully houseing is off you can see inside the front of the operators platform, you will see three steel bars that are side by side but spaced about 1/2in apart the one on the left side of the tractor will stick out the farthest this is fourth and fith gear thake the vice grips nd grab the bar snugly, have someone push in the clutch {you can do both at the same time but is not safe as the tractor can roll, but i have had to do this all by my self a lot} with the clutch in push back on the bar till it slides back in place you will now this by when the bar stops. that is it. put it back together and check the gear lube in the gear box as when it is low this will happen more often.
