I think an MD is more powerful and
more fuel efficient. I believe a standard
gas M is rated at 34hp while the MD is 39.
If you have engine problems on either machine,
it will be expensive. The rest of the
tractor is the same so the parts prices
will be the same. You should always get a
diesel instead of a gaser, if you plan
to use it much. The extra money spent on
the machine will be paid for in fuel cost
savings later on.
