Sorry to read about your bad experiance with your local Case IH dealer. I'm glad I don't have a dealer like that here. Infact it's just the reverse. When I walk in the store the owner says hello, and I'm on a first name basis with the parts manager. I don't farm any land but I do own a '54 Super MTA and it never seems to be a problem for this dealership to continue to provide support for the proudcts they have sold in the past. I suppose it might be partly because my father-in-law had done business with these guys for the last 40 years, or because the family sold the parts manager an 806 gas and a '52 Super M. Or maybe it has something to do with the fact that the owner of this dealership has a restored M and Cub. Maybe it's just small town middle America values. It could be that these guys know that if they give me good service on the little stuff when it comes time for me to purchase a high dollar item I'll remember them, there is a big John Deere dealership in town too. Maybe you just visited the place at the wrong time, harvest is going at full bore around here and those guys that farm +1,000 acres can't afford the down time for parts like those of us that do tractors as a hobby.

"It's a tough little tractor, although it's a hard starter being a diesel and all." He did manage to get it running, compliments of a can of ether. Once started it putted along pretty good. It
