First off, I'm not expert, just commenting. Every once in a while, I see parts for exhaust lifts, both here at YT and on Ebay. However, they are few and far between and are usually used originals. I haven't seen any reproduction parts are NOS to speak of. That said, it would be really cool to have a working exhaust lift.....there are a few guys here with first hand experience. As for how well did it work, my Dad grew up on a Farmall A with a hand lift and their neighbor had an A with an exhaust lift. Dad said he could lift the cultivators, turn to the next row and have the plows back into the ground by the time the neighbor's exhaust lift built up enough pressure to raise the plows. Of course, that lift was prolly about half worn out and needing work. I restored that A my Dad grew up on and lifting the cultivators over and over will definatly build up your left arm! Good luck.
