There is a great difference in agricultural soils across North America. Yes I will agree in some places a 656 may be loaded with 4x14 plow However, anyone thinking that is the only soil type on earth has led a very sheltered life and has never been far from home. There are many areas across this contenant where 60 hp tractors will pull a 5x16 plow. Yes they are sandy loam soils, not sand dunes though. My next door neighbour pulled a 5x16 trailer plow for years with a Cockshutt 570, I pulled 3x16 trailer plow for a number of years with Farmall 300. With the 656 I plowed 6 to 8 inches deep with 5x16 semi-mount plow with 16.9x38 tires and no liquid or solid weight added. That is sod as well as corn stover. I have a Farmall 130 now for a retirement tractor, I can pull 2x14 with that little tractor in a clay loam.
