Place gear selector in neutral.
Lock brakes.
Set Throttle.
Set choke.
Insert crank
Turn on ignition
Re-check gear shift for neutral
Always pull up on a crank. Place your thumb on the same side of the crank as your fingers. You are only pulling up with four fingers.
Pull up two or three times. If not started, release choke and crank again. That part about re-checking the gear shift for neutral position---why do you think I thought of that?
