They use two different diesels,The d282 american engine with glow plugs not a bad engine but the glow plug can be a proplem and you may need to use them even in the summer to get it started. They also used the d310 german engine, no glow plugs and a real power house.We have a 756 with the d310 its has lots of pull and good on fuel. The only time its hard to start is if its gets say down below freezing. But they tell me the german d310 is more expensive to overhaul. Stay away from the gas there not a long lasting motor. And they like lotsa,lotsa gas. Good Luck
