this is my thoughts and mine only, i have one of those tall black gas caps i hated that cap it always spun lose and fell of the darn gas tank. finaly i swaped it off with on of a diferent tractor think my MH-44 and swicthed it off of there now it sits on the radiator as a rad cap works good there at leaste. mine was old and may have been wore out though so. the new ones may work better and if they can prevent fire may as well try at leaste
