Had a beautiful little 24" Troy built rig that threw snow like you wouldn't believe, on pavement. Not bad for $65 at a garage sale. Used it the first time on an unpaved drive at my new house, and it gobbled up a goober of frozen 2B, stripped all of the gears on the pinion, and gave up the ghost. Fifty cent shear pin forgot to fail to save the $100 transmission; anyone else been there? Anyway, I fixed it and did it again on snowfall #2 (OK, so I wasn't so bright!) So, I went out and bought a Simplicity, the Harley's of snow blowers, and now I throw rock and everything else over the neighbor's house. Moral of the story, Get a big 'un if you intend to throw limestone on a 900' driveway, or a) buy a plow, or b) pave your drive. Have fun! Brisbee
