Well, here it is, as found. A late 1946 McCormick Deering W-9 (SN 22270). Engine stuck, rear tires junk, hood is OK, grille is trashed. Can't turn the belt pulley hub no matter where I put the engagement lever. The water jacket plates have holes rusted in them, took them off to find about 4 inches of rust and crud in the water jackets. Rust crammed between the cylinders too. Same story with the radiator of course. I'm sure the gas tank is also rusty. All the valves are loose though so maybe the engine will come loose without too much trouble. It has had cans over the intake and exhaust since it was drove up on the hill and parked. Thought I would share the latest purchase. (also bought an SC Case last week)
