Don't use RTV on the head gasket, or any gasket that will come into contact with fuel. It's ok to use on things like waterpumps, glueing the valvecover gasket to the valvecover, etc., but fuel will turn RTV into a jelly-like mess. Hi-temp RTV works good on exhaust gaskets, but on your application where the intake and exhaust gasket is all one peice, I wouldn't use it. The aluminum paint is good to use on a head gasket, we even used that at a GM dealer I worked at on automotive head gaskets. There's also a copper-seal spray type product you can get at most parts stores that will work good on head gaskets too. As for re-using gaskets, if they're not split, brittle to the point of crumbling, or pinched to the point they're too thin in places, you'll probably be ok for limited use.
