I don't think any of the axles had paint from the factory. Had 7 new Farmalls in the 50s, 60s and early 70s. Only one that had any paint was 560 and that was a very light overspray after wheels were on tractor. I moved the wheels and no paint under them. None of the rest had any paint on axles.
