Just a few pieces of advice for you. It is usually much cheaper to buy a good running tractor in the first place. and one with at least fair tires. To overhaul an engine will cost a minimum of around $800 and tires will cost at least $700-800. Why not just buy a good running tractor for around $1000? Also if the tractor is missing any essential parts, these can add up very quickly. I know this from experience. I have around $3000 in a farmall H that I could buy another like it for around $2000. and I still need to get some rear tires for it.(about $600 in my neck of the woods). But do I follow my own advice??? NO! I just bought a Allis Chalmers that needs just about every thing done! The Farmall H is not the best tractor if your looking for a competitive puller they are slightly underpowered for their weight. and it costs lots of money to get any substansial increase in horse power. The Farmall M is a very good puller as is the Super A in thier classes

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
