Too much emphasis cannot be placed on letting the penetrant and tapping loosen the adjustable sheave. Use lots of patience and maybe let the penetrant sit a day or week. When you have adjusted the belt, line up the set screw with one of the milled grooves in the threads. It avoids damaging the threads. A little loose is much better than a little tight. And don't forget to grease both grease zerks on the water pump, two shots each.
