We farmed with Super M's that we had set up for two way hydraulics which required the pump lever to be fastened back at all times and then another lever was used for the remote cylinder operation. We did this for many years and it did eventually cause the pump to wear and need rebuilding. Bottom line is that it is ok to run the pump all of the time and it will take a very long time for the pump to show any wear. Hope this helps. Bob
