On my 806 and 856 the remote sticks are on the right side of the seat. Does your 706 have remote couplers in the middle of the tractor, below/behind the fuel cell and shifter? If so, you can take the coupler off there, and either plumb pipe to the rear on the side you wish and end it with the coupler back there. Or, you could remove the coupler from center, run hydraulic hose to the rear at desired length and put your coupler on the end of the hose. My 856 is the newest but is the only IH I have that had the remotes plumbed to the back from factory. All others were left at center of tractor and I rigged them to the back.
