A show tractor is any tractor you bring to a tractor show -- regardless of its condition. Some bring original, unrestored tractors to shows. Others bring better-than-new examples raised from derelects. A restored tractor has factory original equipment for that model, year, and serial number, a paint job (including sheet metal work) that makes it look brand-new, and decals properly placed. New or near-new tires add the finishing touches to a good restoration. As I was fixing up my tractor, I was torn for a while between calling it a painted tractor and a restored tractor. As I neared completion, I decided to call it a restoration because I made everything as factory original as possible.
