I have a 56 Cub. It is kind of rough (But almost runs) and I want to go through it and bring it back to a good work tractor. (Mechanically sound but Cosmetically so-so). What manuals should I get? How difficult is it to work on an L head as opposed to a valve in head engine? What are frequent problem spots on Cubs? Should I put it back to 6 volt or stay with 12v? How do I know that the 12v conversion was done correctly? This will be my first tractor project so I need some general advice on the whole process as well. This will also be the first project like this since my dad died. Can ya'll tell I'm nervous?
