Slow drop on rear blade

I have a 656 gas with 3 point. With the rear blade attached, the drop is very slow in the cold weather. By the time the hy-tran gets hot I am done with the snow plowing. The drop is OK with the heavier 6' bush hog. Any ideas other than adding a bunch of weight? Than
