I never had one of these tractors set at maximum. I found that 72" centres gave a tractor the height of a Farmall good stability. I was planting in 36" rows and this meant every tractor could travel those rows. These included H, SM, 300, 560, 504 and 656. All those tractors including the H had axle near to being same width as outside of tires. As I said before my H being a 1952 had some of the upgrades seen on Super H. Those I listed in previous post. I don't know about the engine. In 1975 I purchased a 1066 and those axles must have been close to 100" With rear wheels set on 84" centres tires were same width as axle.
