As far as implements goes, old Farmalls (Hs & Ms) originally came with either no hitch (just a fixed or swinging) drawbar, or the 2-point Farmall fast-hitch. Either the H or the M can be easily converted to a modern 3-point hitch. The best is the Saginaw 3-point hitch conversion (about $650 new). With the 3-point hitch, you can run just about any modern 3-point implement, including 3-point plows. The only thing the H is lacking there is draft control. I don't know much about the M, but the H originally came with only a clutch driven hydraulic pump. The Super-H was available with live hydraulics. If you need live hydraulics for an H, conversion kits were once made by a company called M&W (M&W still exists, but no longer makes the kits). I have a 1950 H with the M&W live hydraulics with 2-way control, and a 3-point hitch conversion. I use it regularly to maintain our little 25 acre farm, and it is a FANTASTIC machine. I use it regularly with a 3-point 5' bushhog, heavy duty 7' grader blade, 3-point slip scoop, a 7 foot pull-type disc, and a utility carry-all for moving heavy stuff. Don't know how well it would compare in the world of modern farming equipment, but it's still quite a little workhorse. Hope this was a little helpful.

Best of luck

Today's Featured Article - The Cletrac General GG and the BF Avery A - A Bit of History - by Mike Ballash. This article is a summary of what I have gathered up from various sources on the Gletrac General GG and the B. F. Avery model A tractors. I am quite sure that most of it is accurate. The General GG was made by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) of Cleveland, Ohio. Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac. ... [Read Article]
