The 1206 can make an awesome puller, depending on how much you want to do to it and how much money you throw at it. I have a friend that has bored it out to the max, ported the head and put in over-sized valves, put in a double disk clutch. He is still runing the rusemaster (sp) pump but has it cranked way up. He has no problems pulling it in high third. He is probably turning in the neighborhood of 4500 rpms. It doesn't take long to get to the far end of the track and it makes a nice whistling sound doing it. He can get it down to the 8500# class. Not quite stock anymore. A 1206 is a good puller even in the stock farm classes. Just depends how wild you want to be and how much money you have to spend.
