Ask 20 people about proper oil chage intervals and you will get 20 different answers. I have always changed oil and filter in my A once a year. It was used for 25 years to cut 3 acre lawn, 10 years after that to bush hog 5 acres twice a year and is now semi retired but running fine with no engine repair except one timing gear set. Have used name brand 30W detergent oil no particular brand.
