Here is a way to set up hydraulics on an A or B. Not live, but hydraulics nonetheless.
1 gallon IH starting tank for reservoir. Modified to include suction and return holes. Regular open center spool valve. I think the pump is about 5 GPM run by a belt off the belt pulley.

A simple bracket that comes from where the seat mounts holds the pump in place. A slotted hole for belt tension adjustment. This arrangement delivers more PSI than the belly pump on my H and just about as much as the distributor pump on the Super MTA. It is slower however, but a larger pump would speed that up.
Some may say that a belt will slip too easily. This one will slip on the flat belt pulley when the ram hits the end. I've never had a problem with lifting anything on the farm from the mower to the 28 foot vibra shank (just to move it).

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
