Cub Engine Problem

Newly rebuilt 1958 Cub engine by a long time pro. After starting it sounds great and runs smooth. After a 15 minute warm up, a loud chirping noise starts from inside the engine. It chirps in time with the camshaft rotation, half the speed of the crank. The lifters all move freely and rotate. Could the camshaft itself be getting slightly longer when hot and rubbing on the bearing face? Is the cam gear maybe rubbing? It only does it when hot and wanted some guesses as to possible problems. I had the man over to listen who rebuilt it and he has never heard the chirping before and he's rebuilt a hundred of 'em. I know you all can't hear it but thought I'd try for info before I put it to work as is. I don't want to tear it down for diagnostic work and find out it was trivial! Thanks
