If you can lay your hands on an older (early to late 50's) copy of the 'Motor's Manuals', they generally had very comprehensive sections on generators and regulators, including adjustmnent information.

Personally, I consider generators / regulators to be not worth the trouble (give me a Delco 10-SI and I'm happy!) but I can see that some folks would want to keep them for aesthetic or originality reasons.

Anyway, visit a few older auto mechanics, they generally have a book or two like that stashed away somewhere...........
