Overhauled my 966 over a year ago. Continuous problems with too much blow by and slobber. I guess it was never loaded to break it in. Then one day I had it on a large land plane that really overloaded it's wagon. When it warmed up good you could tell when everything seated, as it quit smoking & slobbering. It has run great ever since even at slow speeds.
