Niehoff Regulator on SuperM

Gentlemen (and Ladies I'm sure),
I recently started rebuilding a Super M and am trying to verify the proper wiring on the voltage regulator for this tractor. The manual and markings on the Niehoff FF169B regulator don't match and are trying my limited diagnostic skills. The regulator has connectors marked I, A, S, and F.
The manual indicates connection to F, Bat, Gen, and L. I'm assuming that the F's match, the Gen and A (alt?) match, and assume that I is for ignition switch. This leaves S.
Has anyone had experience with this?
