I never had that one happen on either my 560D or 656D. However the first time I rebuilt my 560 it had been making sharp little knocking noise then would fade away. This was on forage harvester. On the last day of filling silo, I pulled 560 off harvester and finished with 656. A couple of days later had guy pull engine apart. There was no rings left on number 2 piston. The sharp knocking had been pieces of rings comming up on top and knocking until they broke up and out exhaust. There was no sign of rings in the oil pan.
