Farmallers with cattle

I went into the Vet's the other day to ask what I can get for warts that have broken out on a cattle beast's face. The vet said it's a heifer isn't it. Well yes I replied...nothing they will dry up and go away when the heifer is around two years old. Now I had been putting cupric sulphate on her which really only made me feel better. I'm not trying to second guess my Vet, but surely in this day and age there is something that will stop a viral infestation. I have been told used motor oil is best for ridding ringworm and a few years ago I put it to the test and it worked..just slopped it on and in a few weeks the ringworm was gone..so is there an old wive's tale\old farmer's tale for wart erasure??. Is this tractor related?...yes, I was on my H in the barnyard when I first noticed the warts!!!!!!Mike in Exeter Ontario..snowing to beat the band here today..about 8" accumulation so far
