Yes, I just went through the motor (C-153 gas) in my 504 and it has no sleeves. I have built several of the C113/123 motors so I am familiar with the wet sleeves. I only have a Super H and Super M as far as larger tractors to compare to. The 504 likes to rev (unusual for my farmall experience) and is quicker/snappier responding. But with less inches and a shorter stroke, I wouldn't think that it would make the same torque if you could load it down. Is that what you saw plowing, that it lugged down below it's power range?
