Look in Research & Info over on the left side of this page. Click on Articles, scroll down to Maintenance and Mechanical Information and then down again to A Step-by-Step 12-Volt Conversion.
There is a wiring diagram that is for a 12V conversion with a GM 10SI alternator. For a basic wiring diagram, check out the Third-Brush Generators article in the same section. If you find that your generator is the two-brush variety, there is an article on them with the appropriate diagram in Two-Brush Generators. I'm at work now, but if you need it later, I can send a diagram when I get home (if I can find it!!!!!!).
