I have pulled my H Farmall & SC Case lots of miles behind an '81 Chev 1/2T 4X4 w/305 & 4 speed-2.73 gears. Underpowered? Yes. Can you do it? Yes, but plan on taking your time & be prepared to shift a lot. Tandem axel trailer has brakes-a must when hauling w/light truck. I have also pulled the same tractors w/'94 F-150 4X4 w/5L & auto-has trans cooler. Same trailer. Four speed is MUCH better. Pulled Super C w/loader (about same weight as an H) 350+ miles last weekend, against a wind that varied from 25 to 45 MPH. Pulled the guts out of Henry the Ford, but he did the job. Just plan on taking your time & allow lots of stopping distance between your vehicle & the next one. You'll have enough GO (no jackrabbit starts), but will be short on WHOA, even w/trailer brakes. Make sure you have a GOOD hitch (don't hang the trailer on the factory bumper) & balance your load. You want only enough weight on the front to keep the trailer from getting "snakey". Keep most of the weight on the trailer axes. Just an inch or two back or forward makes a LOT of difference. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
