All I do is turn the original bracket over and drill the holes out to 3/8. Mount the alternator on the end of the bracket. Find a slotted adjustment bracket. The neat thing about mounting the alternator this way is that the original belt is the correct length. You can use a one wire alternator or they make a plug with a blocking diode to plug into a regular 10SI alternator. If you find a used alternator you can put it on for very little money.
