I HAVE A 1951 M I AM RESTORING. IT HAD BEEN CONVERTED TO 12 VOLT AND I AM RETURNING IT TO 6 VOLT.I BOUGHT ALL NEW WIREING FROM CARTER GRUENWALD IN WI. IN THE AMP BOX THERE IS A JUNCTION BLOCK THAT WAS NOT THERE SO I GOT A NEW ONE. MY QUESTION FOR THIS IS SHOULD THIS BE GROUNDED? IF I JUST SCREW IT TH THE AMP BOX COVER THE JUNTION SCREW WILL HIT METAL. I HAD GOTTEN SOME RUBBER WASHERS TO KEEP IT FROM GOUNDING BUT I AM NOT SURE THIS IS CORRECT. ALSO FOR LIGHTS IT HAD SEALED BEAMS AND I GOT 6 VOLT REPLACEMENTS FOR THEM HOWEVER THE HARNESS FOR THE HEADLIGHTS HAS ONLY ONE WIRE FOR EACH SIDE THAT A SINGLE SCREW WOULD GO THROUH TO ATTACH IT. AND THE CONNECTION ON THE LIGHT IS A ROUND FEMALE RECESSED OPENING WITH 2 MALE SPADE CONNECTIONS. IS THIS FROM MAYBE A SUPER M OR SOMETHING THAT WAS FACTORY 12 VOLT? THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR INPUT.
