Great read!! That was the 1st thing I did with my H. I had all kinds of light brown puss in my trans. You got lucky with only needing 3 1/2 pints. My H takes 6 friggin gallons of 80/90 wgt in the trans. The 1st time I drained the oil from the top plug. Then added the 6 gals. I leaked oil oll over the place from every seal. I had forgotten obout the bottom plug at the differential. There was still about 2 or 3 gals of oil/ brown puss in there when I put the 6 gals of new oil in. SO I had 9 gals of oil in there. When I figured out my snafu I redrained the whole thing and put in a new 6 gals of oil as the other 6 was contaminated from the 3 I forgot to remove. So I went through 12 gals of oil to change mine. That was about a $50 lesson learned.
