Kurt: You recieved a lot of opinions, most of them , good ideas. Your own hunch in the beginning on SA is probably as good as any when you consider the dollars invested. I remember as a kid in early 50s , a guy in village near our farm bought a new SA with front blade. He plowed just about every drivway in village. We were always amazed how much snow that little tractor would push. I as a teenager at the time vowed that some day I would have a SA with a snow blade. My dad thought if SA was that good he would buy a blade with new H and 31 loader. In 55 31 loader went on new 300. From there I plowed snow with 560 and 656 with 2000 loader and 72" snow bucket. Then went to a Case 1737 skid loader, later a John Deere 540A forestry skidder with 10'wide 3' high snow blade and 8 speed power shift. That Deere would move a lot of snow in a hurry. For retirement I now use a front blade on SA, 130 or 140 depending on which I don't plan any restoration for this winter. All these devices guys have mentioned are good. Depends on how much snow you have to move and how fast and furious it comes.
