I remember a few days ago you had mentioned that you just closed your shop. Very sorry to here that. You had mentioned that you lost business to a chinese comp. I dont know if you read an article in Modern Machine Shop mag. but the article in short says that the chinese are turning out toolmakers buy the tens of thousands and are producing quality tooling, molds, dies and parts. One of the main problems with the chinese is that labor is dirt cheap because they dont believe in birth control,(or screw like rabbits) THe Chinese gov. makes food dirt cheap. A chinese guy I work with (he was born and raised in Bejing) he Imigrated to Canada last year with his wife he told me that food is $50 (US dollars) per month. The gov. keeps the food cheap because most of the people are poor. ANd the quality of living is maybe as good as Mexico. Most of the chinese victims, OOps citizens, live in small apartments in the cities. oh and they arent allowed to own land. How do you compete with that. I dont know. THe chinese currency is worth 1/8 of the US dollar. Makes me sick.
