More than likely float is stuck. Might be a little ice in the bowl. Tap on the carb bowl with the handle of a screwdriver and turn on the gas again. That will stop it most of the time. If not, you will need to dissassemble the carb and check the float/needle action to make sure it is free. Could also be some trash in the needle valve. Best to take the carb off to do this anyway, so give it a good cleaning while you are at it. Simple job. Good luck! Post back if this doesn't help.
