Bud, I experienced what you did recently. I have a Zenith carb on my A. I had holes in both floats. They were a little hard to detect at first. In fact, I submerged the float assembly under water overnight. When I took the weight off the float assembly, it came right to the surface. It had very little water in in. Just pinpoint holes. By swinging the float centrifugally, I could see the outer surface of the floats get wet (Starting with a completely dry outer surface). I replaced the float(s) (by that I mean float assembly, as there are two floats. That indeed fixed my problem.
