Yesterday I managed to drive my tractor 15 miles to a friend's place to pick his corn for him. Has an ol Dearborn and Wood Bros. one row picker. That ran great all day. However, the SM lugged. Choke open so it would run, would absolutly bog down to about 500 RPM (maybe less) at times but would still pick and pull, ironically. Tweaked carb a few times to make it run smooth, but still had to have choke out. It would run smooth for about 10 minutes and start to sputter, and I closed the choke and opened it back up and it would give me ten more minutes of smooth running. My dad went down today to start it, and it ran without choke and ran just like it used to a month or so ago. Who knows? Bad one day and good the next? I'd like to keep it good all the time, so does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
